2023: What a prolific year for Andrew Kim. Kim accomplished something for the first time for the Brewers, Mens Volleyball National Player of the Year. Andrew Kim played in 26 matches and 82 sets where he was number one for many of the statistical categories.  Kim slammed 318 kills, 36 services aces, 377 points, 3.88 kills per set, 0.44 aces per set, and 4.60 points per set, all good for first on the team. Hit his most efficient clip of his career at 0.406 and the most digs and digs per set at 132 and 1.61 respectively. Best match of the season came against Stevens Institute of Technology (4/6) scoring 23.5 points on a clip of 0.349. 

2022: The junior outside hitter had another great year receiving AVCA Second Team All-American, AVCA North All-Region First team, and All-UVC First team. Kim led the Brewers squad in both points and kills this season where he had 297 points and 256 kills… Had 3.56 kills per set hitting an efficient percentage of 32.9 and was second in service aces with a total of 24. His greatest match of the season was in a four-set loss to St. John Fisher College on (3/4) where he scored 20.5 points with 19 kills hitting a percentage of 55.2 in addition to having a season high 13 digs.

2021: AVCA First Team All-American… AVCA North Region Player of the Year… All-Region First Team… All-UVC First Team... The sophomore outside hitter was a key offensive player for the Brewers, leading the team in sets played (tied with Matt Usui), points, aces, and kills.... logged 191 total kills on the season, averaging 3.67 per set... scored nearly double the point of any teammate with 238.5 on the season, 4.59 per set... also had 18 assists and 42 aces (.81 aces per serve), cementing his position as Vassar’s most prolific offensive weapon... On defense, he received the second highest number of serves with a solid receiving percentage of 96.1. He was second on the team in digs with 74... Program record 11 service aces against Elmira in the season opener.

2020: An impressive season from the first-year pin hitter … played in 72 sets across 20 matches … finished the shortened season with 420 total attempts and 142 kills – second on the Vassar squad – hitting .271 and averaging 2.60 kills per set … served up 15 service aces … rejecting a total of 30 blocks (29 assisted with one solo) … finding 16 assists … keeping 83 digs alive … had at least ten kills in 11 separate matches this season … earned UVC Rookie of the Week honors following an 11 kill, one ace, and three dig performance against at the time #1 SUNY New Paltz paired with a seven kill, two ace, two dig, two block match against Sage … found a season-high 18 kills and six digs in a five-set loss to Springfield College … had 16 kills, two aces, two assists, nine digs, and two blocks against St. John Fisher in a five-set thriller victory … Went off with 12 kills, three aces, and eight digs during Vassar’s home-opening weekend against then #4 Endicott College … scored 13 kills, six digs, and five blocks to help Vassar earn their first win of the season against UC Santa Cruz … laid down 12 kills, three digs, and five blocks in a five-set loss to MIT.

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Played volleyball for Mission Viejo High School.

PERSONAL: Child of Jin and Juhee Kim...chose Vassar because he wanted the opportunity to academically challenge himself while playing men's volleyball.
