2017-18:
XC: Started the season strong, posting a 6k personal best of 20:48.4 in their first race of the year at the Ron Stonitsch Invitational, finishing 10th for VC... had their best finish at the Rowan University Interregional Border Battle, placing 5th for VC with a time of 26:58.2 on a 7.8k course, helping the team to an 11th place finish.
2016-17:
XC: Had a strong start, running a new 6k personal best time of 21:24.1 at the Ron Stonitsch Invitational...had their best finish at NCAA Atlantic Regionals, finishing ahead of almost 200 other runners and posting a personal best 8k time of 26:44.6, finishing 7th for VC.Â
Track: Had the fifth fastest 4x800m in the entire Liberty League this season (8:20.83)…competed in a total of eleven events this season…started off the season finishing fifteenth in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:41.42 at the 22
nd Annual Monmouth Season Opener…placed first in the 4x800m relay with a seasonal best time of 8:20.83 and a personal collegiate best time in the 400m event of 53.83 at the Ramapo College Track & Field Invitational…finished fifth in the 4x400m relay with a seasonal best time of 3:34.99 and placed sixteenth in the 800m with a personal collegiate best time of 2:01.30 at the Liberty League Championships…ended the season strong finishing twelfth in the 1500m event with a personal collegiate best time of 4:15.51.
2015-16
XC:Â Blume began their collegiate career at the Ron Stonitsch Invite to place 11th for the team and 54th overall with a time of 21:38...to improve upon this performance, Ry ran five seconds faster at the Saratoga Invitational to run their season 6k PR of 21:33...stepped up big time at the Purple Valley Classic to place fifth, snatching the final scoring spot, for the Brewers in their first ever 8k race to clock a 28:07...ran eighth for the squad at the Geneseo Mike Woods Invite, beating nearly 300 runners in the process...their personal record for the season came at the Conn College Invite where they crossed the finish line in 27:12...led the team in their last race of the season to place 41st overall at the ECAC Championship meet.Â
Track:Â Placed 6th in the 4x4 at both the Willie Williams Classic and the 21st Annual Monmouth Season Opener...Earned a college best in 1500M at the 21st Annual Monmouth Season Opener with a 4:10.88...Finished 2nd in the 4x8 at the Ramapo College Track & Field Invitational...Came in 5th in the 1500M at the Osprey Open...Placed 38th in the 800M at the Swarthmore Final Qualifier with a college best of 1:57.25.
PRIOR TO VASSAR:Â Ran cross country and track for the Hilltoppers of Summit High School...won 12 letters at SHS...was voted track Most Improved Runner in 2012...voted All-State Group 3 in 2014...helped their squad to a Boys XC Union County Conference title in 2014...as a senior, also lifted cross country team to Union County championships, along with XC Group 3 state title...ran at the 2015 New Balance National Outdoor Boys Championships in the distance medley, taking fifth place and earning All-American...at the same meet, helped their team 4x400 meter team in the emerging elite division to a first-place finish...helped their cross team to a 2013 sectional title...was photo editor of The Verve Newspaper...earned Award for Excellence on sociology at SHS...Summit HS PTO Scholarship Award...SHS Athletic Hall of Fame Scholarship Award...Lighthouse Guild Scholarship winner.Â
