2016 Liberty League All-Academic Team

2016-17:
Track: Liberty League All Academic Team…ran a 2:19.41 in the 800m and ran a personal collegiate best time of 4:28.55 in the 1500m at the 22^nd Annual Monmouth Season Opener…did not compete the rest of the season due to injury.

2015-16:
XC: Began his collegiate career well with a 5th place finish at the New Paltz Season Opener...finished in 21:40 at the Vassar Ron Stonitsch Invite to run his personal best in the 6k...ran his highschool home course at the Purple Valley Classic to place 8th overall with a time of 28:17...finished the season on his previous home course once again to score for the Brewers.
Track: Saw success in short distance races, setting his career mark in the 800m (2:16.71) and the 1500m (4:32.91) in early April...grabbed 12th place at the Liberty League Championships with his 34:08.44 10k...finished the season with a career 5000m best of 16:00.56 at the Matthew Vassar Twilight Invitational.

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Competed for four seasons on varsity on the cross country program at Mount Greylock HS, also earning three varsity letters in track and skiing...named captain as a junior and senior for the XC and skiing squads...earned top 10 accolades in both cross country and skiing...helped his team to five consecutive Western MA titles...National Honor Society member...Top Scholar honoree....MGHS History Award...also earned Mount Greylock Music Award.

PERSONAL: Son of Troy and Laura Kobrin...has two brothers, Sam (18) and Ben (22)...twin brother Sam runs at Vassar as well...political science major...chose VC over Kenyon College.
