2016-17:
Track: Had the best high jump (1.70m) and javelin throw (43.28m) on the team this season…had the fourteenth fastest 400m hurdles (1:02.97), the tenth best high jump (1.70m), and the eleventh best javelin throw (43.28m) in the entire Liberty League this season…started the season with a personal collegiate best time in the 200m of 24.94 at the 22^nd Annual Monmouth Season Opener…ran a personal collegiate best time in the 400m hurdles of 1:02.97 at the Ramapo College Track & Field Invitational…placed seventh in javelin with a personal collegiate best distance of 43.28m and placed ninth in high jump with a personal collegiate best height of 1.70m at the Liberty League Championships…ended the season strong finishing fifth in javelin with a distance of 42.26m and finishing sixth in the high jump with a height of 1.60m at the Matthew Vassar Twilight meet.

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Derksen was a volleyball and basketball captain for the Eagles of Singapore American School...was named as team MVP for both squads as a senior...earned the Track and Field Eagle Way Award winner as a senior...named as the Singapore American School Male Athlete of the Year award winner as a senior...named to All-IASAS volleyball squad as a junior and senior, earning the accomplishment on the basketball floor as well...helped his teams to IASAS Gold Medal honors as a sophomore and junior in volleyball, accomplishing the task in basketball as a senior...also competed in hurdles, jumps and the javelin within the Interscholastic Association of Southeast Asian Schools.
