2014-15: Appeared in 18 games…averaged 1.1 points per game and totaled 20 on the season…shot .462 overall, .500 from behind the arc, and .625 from the free throw line…pulled down season-best six rebounds against RIT (1/17)…saw his season best performance against RIT (2/13) where he hit a pair of three pointers for the Brewers. 

2013-14: Played in two games this season...pulled in one defensive rebound.

2012-13: Played in 21 games…scored 16 points on the season for a 0.8 points per game average…was a perfect 4-for-4 on the season from the free throw line...had a season high four points against Rochester Institute of Technology.

2011-12: Played in 13 games...scored nine points and pulled down seven rebounds...shot .500 from the line.

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Lettered three years at Williamsville North High School for coach Chuck Swierski...named team captain his junior and senior years...earned All-Conference honors as a senior...selected to the Jolly Boys of Williamsville All-Tournament Team his senior season...also lettered one year in baseball.

PERSONAL: Parents are David and Diane Safir...chose Vassar "because it was the best academic school where [he] could still play ball" and because of the "beautiful campus--[he] was blown away"...chose Vassar over Hamilton College, SUNY Geneseo, and Macalester College...involved in Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and Vassar Business Club...majors in American Studies.
