Vassar College Athletics

Shahid Khan grew up in his native Ipswich, England playing squash, and then traveled the world playing the sport he loves. Khan joined the Professional Squash Association PSA in 1999 competing in European leagues and sanctioned tournaments around the world. He achieved his highest world ranking, #114 in 2007. Throughout this period he also wore a teaching pro hat and coached at various squash clubs in the south and east of England.

He came to the USA in 2007 to take up an assistant pro position at Chestnut Hill Academy in Philadelphia, PA. Since 2008 he has been a teaching pro at the Pure Fitness & Squash Club in Rye Brook, NY (formerly known as Club 800). When the Rye Brook club changed hands in February 2014, Shahid was promoted to Head Squash Professional. On joining the ranks of U.S. based squash professionals, he was struck by the organization of the college squash program. Last season, he was delighted to have the chance to coach a few sessions for the Vassar team, and is excited to start working frequently with the Brewers this coming season.
