Chuck Wilder has been the Goalkeeper coach at Vassar since the 2008 season. He has a wealth of experience as both a goalkeeper coach and an outfield coach in the region and has had a significant impact on the recent development of the Vassar program.Â
Coach Wilder is the Director of Coaching for Middlepath FC and has served as a team coach and goalkeeper coach since the club’s inauguration. Wilder is well-regarded in the Hudson Valley soccer circles for his extensive playing and coaching experience. Wilder has a coaching resume that includes local schools (Asst. Men's Coach) Dutchess Community College, (Head Men's Coach) Suny Purchase College - Div III , (Men's Goalkeeper Coach) Dominican College - Div II , (Women's Goalkeeper Coach) Bard College - Div III.
Wilder has been a part of the New York Empire State Games as a coach for the Boys Scholastic Soccer Team representing the Hudson Valley Region for the past 11 years. His teams have won - two Bronze Medals, two Silver Medals, and one Gold Medal. Wilder served as goalkeeper coach for the New York State ODP Program.Â
Wilder’s 25 years in coaching include a stint at the professional level where he was the goalkeeper coach for the Rockland Glaciers (PDL) and for the New York Fever (A-League).
Wilder brings a wealth of Goalkeeping knowledge and strong instruction to the club. He has played Professionally as a Goalkeeper in the U.S.I.S.L. Wilder holds his USSF "C" License as well as his NSCAA National Diploma.
