Chris Taylor, enters his second fall season with the Brewers as was hired in November, 2012. In his first season coaching the VC players, Taylor helped achieve yet another berth into the Liberty League playoffs for the third season in a row. Taylor has a coaching record of 8-5-5 as well as helped the Brewers earn a spring exhibition win over Division I locals, Marist College in 2014.
Taylor was a four-year member of the SUNY Plattsburg Cardinal men’s soccer team, prior to his two years as the assistant coach. He was selected to the All-SUNYAC First Team three consecutive seasons. Taylor received ECAC Upstate All-Region and NSCAA All-East Region honors twice. He is also the program’s all-time assist leader with 38.
Taylor had a hand in the successful 17-3-1 (7-2-0 SUNYAC) 2012 season. The Cardinals made the SUNYAC Tournament. They defeated SUNY Cortland 4-2 in the opening round but fell to Oneonta State 2-1 in the next round.
In addition to his time at Plattsburgh State, Taylor worked as a Player Development Officer for the New York Red Bulls from 2006-07. They are a part of the Major League Soccer Network. Red Bull also owns four more teams throughout the world.
He also recently served as a coach for the Plattsburgh Football Club. Taylor has received his NSCAA National Diploma and England Football Association Level One and Level Two Coaching Certificates.
A 2012 graduate of SUNY Plattsburgh, Taylor has his bachelor degree in Print Journalism.
