2020: Played in four games, including one as a starter... Had a ground ball pickup in an 18-7 win against Maritime on Mar. 11...

2019: Played in nine games… Scored one goal against Bard (4/3)… Caused one turnover.

2018: Appeared in all 14 games for the Brewers while earning 12 starts as a sophomore… He caused the fourth most turnovers with seven while collecting 33 groundballs… He scored his first career goal against Bard and followed that up with a goal against Stockton… Murphy also tallied an assist against Skidmore for three points this season.

2017: Became an important part of the wing play for Vassar, as well as helping at short-stick midfielder in 2017...played in 15 games for the Brewers, starting nine times...picked up 31 ground balls while causing eight turnovers...his 31 loose ball pickups were the third-most on the team...took three shots, all getting put on net...earned his first start of his VC career at Drew in the season opener...posted a season-high eight ground balls in a 12-3 win over Salve Regina in Florida...posted two ground balls and four caused turnovers in a win over Bryn Athyn on March 28...had at least one ground ball in all but two games...registered three ground balls in a win over Colby College...against Swarthmore, Murphy helped Vassar by picking up three ground balls with one caused turnover in the 8-3 win for VC. 

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Lettered two years of soccer at Loomis Chaffee, while captaining the Pelicans… Went undefeated during the regular season on the way to capturing the Founders League Championship in 2014/15… Lettered three years of lacrosse as a two-way middie for the Pelicans… Lettered two years of hockey as a forward as well… Won the Founders League Championship in 2014/15 and the Avon Christmas Hockey Championship the same year with the Loomis Chaffee hockey team… Won the male Tri-Varsity Athlete Award, chosen by fellow athletes… Named the Outstanding Male Athlete twice (junior, senior seasons)… Earned Honor and High Honors at Loomis Chaffee.
 
PERSONAL: Siblings are Aidan (16), Grace (14) and Fiona (11)… Plans to major in Economics…Chose Vassar “due to the quality of the education; I wanted to play sports at a college that would challenge me academically and prepare me best for the world to come. I believe that Vassar’s curriculum is suited very well for the real world, and I’m excited to get on campus.”
