2017-18: Alperstein finished his epee fencing career strong for the Brewers, finishing his senior season with a 52W-28L record…he occasionally competed in sabre and finished 14-4 in dual meets…opened up the season strong with a record of 12W-4L at the Vassar Invitational, going undefeated against Yeshiva, Haverford and West Point….was 13-5 at the Traditional Multi-Meet, going 3-0 against PENN, PSU and NJIT…finished 6^th on the team in total dual wins…competed in the 2018 NCAA Northeast Regional meet at Brandeis University… finished 19^th place in the region.

2015-16: The sophomore had another strong campaign for the Brewers in epee, as he finished 64-23 in dual meets, the second most wins on the team...started the season by going 14-3 at the Vassar Invitational, going undefeated against four teams...went 9-8 at the Sacred Heart Multi-Meet, winning two bouts against Harvard, Sacred Heart, Penn State and NJIT...was 3-0 against Stanford in the West Invitational...earned NFC Second Team All-Star honors after he finished fourth in the conference in win percentage at epee, as he earned 76.92 percent of his league bouts. Alperstein finished 20-6 within the Northeast Fencing Conference. 

2014-15: Alperstein saw a sucessful freshman season, ending his first year as a Brewer with a 63W-27L record...saw an excellent first competition at the Vassar Invitational where he went 15W-5L on the day and went undefeated against Hunter, Lafayette, and West Point Nov. 9...stepped it up at the Matt Lampell Hudson River Invitational where he went undefeated through the competition, finishing with at 15W-0L record on Nov. 16 and swept Cornell, RPI, Albany, Marist, and Army...went 7W-1L at the Dartmouth Invitational where he went undefeated against BU and Umass Feb. 7...was seeded No. 25 at the NCAA Northeast Regional Tournament and finished the competition as #15.

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Alperstein comes to Vassar with a United States Fencing Association "A" rating in epee...finished second in October 2012 at the North American Cup for the cadet epee category...has been nationally ranked in epee...posted a pair of top eight DIvision II finishes.

PERSONAL: Son of David and Susan Alperstein...has one sister, Ariel...undeclared major.
