2019-20: Started in six games while playing in 15… took a larger leadership role this season as a co-captain… helped the brewers reach the quarterfinals of the Liberty League Tournament… averaged 12 minutes and 2.5 points per game… scored a season high eight points twice against Hunter College and Lehman College

2018-19: Expanded upon his role, appearing in 17 games… Averaged 3.1 points and 1.7 rebounds a contest… Scored a career-high nine points twice… Had a season-high five rebounds in two games.

2017-18: Continued to contribute as a sophomore for the squad… Played in 11 games totaling 40 minutes… Shot .500 with 6 FG made… also contributed 5 three-pointers… Added 18 total points on the season… Season-high 5 points against Rhodes (11/18/17) in six minutes on the floor

2016-17: Kappes had an impressive first season for the Brewers, featuring in 21 games and earning one start for a total of 194 minutes on the court...Kappes proved to be an offensive threat for the Brewers, totaling 104 points for the season...He established himself as an effective three-point shooter, finding the basket 17 times from beyond the yard...was a strong defensive player for the Brewers as well, picking up 23 rebounds and six steals...earned his first start against Trinity in a game where he totaled six points on two three-pointers (1/26)

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Was a standout for the basketball team at Cathedral Catholic...also played for travel teams Gamepoint and San Diego All-Stars. 

PERSONAL: Son of Mike and Felicia Kappes...has two sisters, Mikayla (17) and Chloe (7), and one brother Kevin (13)...economics major.
