Michael McSloy

Michael McSloy joined the Vassar College men's basketball staff in the summer of 2015 for his first season with the Brewers.

McSloy comes to the Hudson Valley after two successful seasons as an assistant at Connecticut College in New London, CT. As a member of the Camel’s coaching staff, McSloy helped coordinate recruiting schedules, while also scouting film on top opposition that Connecticut College played routinely in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC).

Before his tenure at CC, McSloy was an assistant coach at his alma mater of SUNY Maritime for one season. While at Maritime, McSloy assisted with film exchange, secured commitments from many New York area schools and developed relationships with his fellow basketball alumni. McSloy earned his bachelors of science in international trade and transportation from Maritime in September of 2013.

McSloy has also been very active on the camp scene, working events at Yale University, Columbia University, Brown University, Amherst College, NYU and Holy Cross.

An accomplished player in college, McSloy was named a All-Skyline Second Team guard during the 2011-12 season, as he finished 25th nationally in scoring. In his last two seasons at Maritime, McSloy recorded 841 points while also bringing down 153 rebounds for the Privateers. He was also clutch from the free-thrown line, converting on nearly 80% of his free throws (211-for-266, 79.3%).

Prior to his two seasons at Maritime, McSloy was a member of the SUNY Oswego basketball team.
