2018: All-Liberty League Second Team...
Young finished her senior campaign as one of the best players on the field, proving to be unstoppable in the midfield…was pivotal in the Brewer success…was the primary inserter on corners, garnering seven assists…also scored four goals, including one against Rochester…posted a pair against Union…amassed 1128 minutes.
2017: Liberty League All-Academic Team…played in 17 games for the Brewers and started in all of those outings as well…racked up 2 goals, 3 assists, and 7 points… racked up a goal, assist, and three points against Western Connecticut State…Her second goal came in as the lone goal in the win against Ithaca College that allowed the Brewers to clinch a playoff berth
2016: Became a very important cog in the midfield for the Brewers as a sophomore...played in all 18 games for the Brewers, starting 17 times...scored three goals to go with two assists...was instrumental on the corner unit, as she was the inserter for 135 of Vassar's 180 corners...took 10 shots as a sophomore...scored the game winning goal in the season-opening win over Geneseo...tallied in a 9-0 win over Brockport September 10...posted her third goal of the season in a 6-0 victory over Western Connecticut...assisted on a goal on the road at William Paterson...also chalked up a helper against St. Lawrence September 24...put nine shots on goal as a sophomore.
2015: A new addition to the Vassar offense, Young played a total of 17 games for the Brewers. The forward made it on the board with two goals and one assist. Her first goal was netted in a 4-1 victory of Western Conn. St. (Sept 16) and she earned her second goal against Hartwick (Sept 30).
PRIOR TO VASSAR: Was a three-sport standout for the Wolfpack of West Morris Central in Chester, NJ...started and played all four years on varsity in field hockey, serving as captain as a senior...scored 134 career points (47 goals, 40 assists), the most all-time at West Morris Central...named as a All-Morris County First Team player in 2013 and 2014...earned First Team All-NJAC National Division in 2013 and 2014...NJAC National Division Champions in 2011, 2013 and 2014...Group 3 State Sectional champ in 2012...National Honor Society member...also earned letters in track and field and lacrosse.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Chris and Karen Young...has one brother, Connor (23)...math major.
