Steinhorn joined the Vassar field hockey staff as an assistant coach in the summer of 2020. A former standout at Franklin and Marshall College, she will spend a significant amount of time with the Brewers’ goalkeeping core.
During her collegiate career, Steinhorn was a two-year goalie for the Diplomats, helping the squad to the 2011 Centennial Conference Championships title, along with a trip to the NCAA Sweet 16. Despite leaving the squad in 2012, she continued her staunch support of the squad as the team’s lead play-by-play broadcaster over her final two years.
Steinhorn, who trained under 1996 Olympic Men’s Field Hockey Goalkeeper, Steve Wagner, was a three-year standout and senior captain at Horace Greeley High School prior to her collegiate career.
She helped her team make the program’s first-ever sectionals appearance. In addition to field hockey, she was a member of the track and field team, competing in a number of events.
A 2014 graduate of Franklin and Marshall with a degree in Cognitive Science, Steinhorn also graduated top of her class in 2015 from The French Culinary Institute program in culinary arts. She is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
