2016: Posted a 3-5 record with a 6.14 ERA, starting nine games, completing two... Struck out 25 batters for fifth most on the team... Picked up a 13-3 win over UW-Stout on 3/19, allowing three runs on six hits over four innings... Notched another win against Skidmore College on 4/1, allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits over 5.1 innings in 6-4 victory... Fanned four batters over 5.1 innings in his first start of the season against Fitchburg State on 3/12... Struck out a season-best five batters, allowing one run over seven innings in his third victory of the season, a 9-1 win over RIT on 4/23.

2015: Continued his role as a weekend starter for Vassar as a junior, but had his best season to date as a Brewer...led the pitching staff in his third year at VC, as he posted a 4.42 ERA and a 1-3 record over seven appearances, earning six starts...walked just five batters all season, leading the Brewers with 31 strikeouts...tossed one complete games in 2015...came in against Southern Vermont in relief March 14, allowing no earned runs over three innings...had a solid performance at Columbia, giving up five hits and two earned runs over seven innings...allowed one earned run over six innings against RIT, striking out six batters...fanned a career-best nine hitters against John Jay May 2, earning his lone win of the season.

2014: Was a weekend starter for the Brewers again as a sophomore, eating valuable innings for Vassar...posted a 7.03 earned run average on the season, going 1-3...has some of the best control on the team, as he walked just six hitters in 32 innings in 2014...started six games, appearing eight times for Vassar...started the season with a bang, as the righthander tossed seven strong innings against Waynesburg in a 4-2 win, allowing just one earned run and nine hits, inducing 12 ground outs...pitched well against Bard May 4, as he tossed five innings allowing one earned run...at Rochester April 19, surrendered on earned runs in five innings, striking out four batters...needed just four pitches to retire the side in one inning of relief against No. 3 Cortland State April 12...tossed one pitch in the Liberty League Tournament against Union, getting a double play...went six innings against Clarkson April 5, allowing just four earned runs. 

2013: Saw significant time on the mound for the Brewers in his first season at Vassar, tossing 42.1 innings in nine appearances...seven of his nine games came in a starting role...posted a 5.31 earned run average...struck out 16 hitters on the year...posted his first win in his first collegiate win against Medaille, scattering 13 hits in seven innings, allowing three runs...worked 7.1 innings, surrendering four hits and two runs against Rochester.

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Lettered two years in baseball at Miramonte High School (CA)…helped team to NCS DIII Championships in 2010.

PERSONAL: Parents are Nathan Hong and Gloria So...brother to Kristin (18)…chose Vassar over University of California-San Diego and Califoria Polytechnic University...urban studies major.
