2017: Had a strong season for the Brewers as a senior, as he led the team with 36 games started, playing in all but one contest...led the team with 122 at-bats, hitting .295 as a senior with eight doubles, two triples and two homers...was 12-of-15 on stolen base attempts...played four different positions for the Brewers in 2017...led the team with 11 multi-hit games...drove in two or more runs in five games to lead the team...had an eight-game hit streak during the year...posted three hits in four at-bats against Plattsburgh State April 2...was 2-for-4 against Johns Hopkins March 21...was 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored April 29 against Bard College...connected for his first career homer, a grand slam, against Union College April 15...was 1-for-3 with a homer at RPI...was 2-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored...was 2-for-3 with two RBI against Fredonia. 

2016: Liberty League All-Academic Team... Batted .244 with 29 hits over 38 starts... Scored a team-high 26 times... Doubled twice... Knocked in 12 runners... Drew the third most walks (16)... Stole a team-leading 11 bases... Second most in sac bunts (4) and sac flies (3)... Registered six multi-hit games... Went 2-for-4 with a run and a stolen base in his first game against Fitchburg State on 3/12... Went 2-for-3 with three runs, a walk and a HBP against Plattsburgh State on 3/13... Went 3-for-5 with two runs, an RBI, a double and a stolen base against St. Lawrence University on 3/26...Went 1-for-2 with three runs and two walks against RIT on 4/23... Enjoyed a five-game streak of at least a hit in each from 4/1 to 4/10... On the mound, posted a 0-1 record with a 27.00 ERA, allowing three runs (two earned) on two hits in .2 innings against Millikin University on 3/20. 

2015: Shanagher had a strong season as a sophomore, and showed that his play in the outfield wasn't the only thing her could bring to the table...stepped in on the mound in 2015, and became one of the most effective reliever for Vassar...offensively, hit .303 on the year, starting 26 of the 27 games he played...posted 30 hits, two doubles and two triples...led Vassar with 11 stolen bases...scored 13 runs...had a monster game against John Jay, posting five hits in six at-bats, driving in four runs...the five-hit game was the first one for a VC player since 2012...fourth on the team in hitting...was 4-for-5 with two runs...had six multi-hit performances...on the mound, appeared in seven games, tossing 10.2 innings...chalked up an ERA of 1.69, allowing just two runs over the course of the season...surrendered two hits over his seven outings, posting a 2-1 record...posted two saves...picked up his first collegiate win at RIT April 11...earned the win in the season-ending victory over CCNY...came in to get his first career save April 15 against Skidmore...posted a batting average against on the mound of .067. 

2014: Eased into collegiate baseball for Vassar as a freshman in 2014, and had a productive season...was solid in the outfield, playing all three outfield spots...finished his freshman season with .200 batting average, scoring 10 runs and driving in eight runs...walked nine times...started 23 of the 24 games played...was 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs in his first collegiate start against Franklin & Marshall...was 2-for-3 in with a run scored against Rochester April 19...was 2-for-4 against Union College April 27...was 2-for-3 with a stolen base against Clarkson May 9 in the Liberty League Tournament...second on the team in stolen bases with four.

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Lettered two years in baseball at Saint Ignatius College Prep (CA) for head coach Matt Stecher…helped team to the school’s first ever CCS Championship…played on winningest team in school history…helped team earn first ever back-to-back CCS Championship games…lettered two years in soccer for head coach John Prior…led the team in scoring…lettered one year in football for head coach John Regalia...named to All-San Francisco team as a cornerback…helped team to first ever Open Division CCS Championship…played in the Northern California D-I State Championship.

PERSONAL: Parents are Denis and Julie Shanagher…has one sister, Katie (24)...chose Vassar over Washington University of St. Louis, Middlebury, Pitzer and Macalaster...economics major.
