Mike Perrone

Mike Perrone returned to the Vassar College baseball program for his first season as an assistant in the spring of 2014 after a very successful career with the Brewers.

A four year starter, Perrone holds the all-time record for hits in a career at the College with 193, while also holding the career program marks in runs (129), total bases (229), assists (470) and stolen bases (108-127). He also is the single season record holder in hits with 66. He was a All-Liberty League first-teamer in 2012 and 2013, while earning Liberty League and ECAC Upstate Division III Rookie of the Year honors in 2010. He was named D3baseball.com All-New York Region Third Team at shortstop in 2011.

After graduation, he was signed by the Taos Blizzard of the Pecos League where he played second base primarily and batting .269 in 13 games. He also played two seasons with the New York Atlantics of the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League, including earning Defensive MVP honors in 2011. A natural leader, Perrone was named a captain of the Brewers in 2013. Perrone has also volunteered at Vassar Brothers Medical Center and the New York Sporst and Physical Therapy Institute in East Meadow, NY.

Perrone is a 2013 graduate of VC with a degree in B.A. in science technology and society, minoring in math.
