Matt Barbieri joins the Vassar College Baseball staff as an assistant coach in 2024.
Barbieri spent last season with SUNY Sullivan as the Generals won the Region 15 Championship and were Mid Hudson Conference Champions. He was responsible working with the hitters as the team posted a .325 team batting average and four student-athletes were named All-Conference.
Barbieri also is heavily involved in coaching with the Hudson Valley Select Baseball Travel organization as he has coached teams over the last two years in age groups ranging from 12U-18U.
Barbieri was an All-Region student-athlete at SUNY Ulster before transferring to Mount Saint Mary where he was a two-year student-athlete.
Barbieri graduted from Ulster with an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts in 2018 before earning his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Mount Saint Mary in 2021.
