The Prentiss Field Complex, newly renovated in 2008, includes a lighted eight-lane, quarter-mile track and PureGrass turf field with finely-groomed competition and practice grass fields for soccer and lacrosse and a pristine baseball diamond including dugouts. Each field has bleachers, scoreboards, and press boxes. The state-of-the-art sandwich synthetic polyurethane track and field facility allows all of Vassar’s teams a place for conditioning workouts, particularly the track and cross country teams. Set up to allow top quality training and competition, the facility is built to accommodate all track and field events, including long jump, javelin, steeplechase, pole vault, and hammer/discus throw.
