2023 Vassar Scholar-Athlete Award Finalist

2022-23: As captain and squad leader, closed out his senior season with a 53-48 record… Went 9-4 at the Drew Invitational #1 with victories over Clemson (3-0) and Drew (3-0)… Went 5-1 in pools and won two direct elimination bouts to place 12th at the NEIFC Big One… Went 11-8 at the Vassar Invitational with victories over Hunter (1-0), Haverford (3-0), and LIU (3-0)… Went 7-5 at the Matt Lampell Invite with victories over Army (3-0), Binghamton (2-1), and RIT (2-1)… Went 6-9 at the Sacred Heart Traditional Meet with victories over Sacred Heart (2-1) and NJIT (2-1)… Went 5-7 at the Cleveland State Invitational with victories over Dension (1-0) and Detroit Mercy (2-0)… Went 5-6 at the NFC Meet #2 with victories over Tufts (2-1) and Brandeis (2-1)… Went 7-4 at the NFC Meet #3 with victories over Dartmouth (3-0) and Boston University (2-0)… Went 1-3 at the George Kolombatovich Historical Meet… Had victories over Yale (2-1)… Went 9-4 at the NEIFC Championship, which helped Vassar place 2nd for Top Men’s Epee Squad and 2nd for the Men’s 3-Weapon Team Championship… Placed 28th at the NCAA Northeast Region.

2021-22: Completed a strong season with a record of 64-35 in epee… Placed 6th at The Big One… Went 11-7 at the Drew Tournament, with wins over Drew (2-1 and 2-1), Yeshiva (2-1), and Navy (3-0)… Went 15-6 at the Vassar Invitational, beating Hunter (2-1), Stevens (2-1), Haverford (2-0), Lafayette (3-0), and West Point (3-0)... Went 13-2 at the Matt Lampell Hudson River Invite, including wins over Drew (2-1), RIT (3-0), Cornell (3-0), and Binghamton (3-0 and 1-0)… Recorded victories over SHU (2-1) and PSU (3-0) at the Sacred Heart Traditional Multi-Meet… Went 11-2 at the Northeast Conference Multimeet #3, with victories over Tufts (3-0), U Mass (2-1), UNH (3-0), and BU (3-0)… beat Columbia (2-1) at the George Kolombatovich Historical Meet… Placed 8th at the New England Intercollegiate Fencing Conference (NEIFC) Championships… Helped the men’s epee squad earn a 3rd place finish at the NEIFC Championships… Placed 22nd at Northeast Regionals to earn an All-American Division III honorable mention.

2020-21: Season canceled due to COVID-19 ...

2019-20: Named a NFC First Team Epee All-Star… Recorded the highest epee mark at 60-33 overall… Opened the year with an 11-7 record at the Vassar Invitational… Was 16-4 at the Matt Lampell Hudson River Invite… Continued to a 13-8 mark at the Drew Tournament, defeating Denison (3-0), Clemson (2-1). Yeshiva (3-0), Hunter (2-1), and Florida (2-1)… Went 4-1 against Cleveland State and Detroit-Mercy… AT the Northeast Multi-Meet #2, was 7-3, defeating Tufts (2-0), Boston College (2-1), and Brandeis (2-0)… Went 7-3 at the third multi-meet… Reached the NCAA Northeast Regionals, placing 43^rd.

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Competed on the national fencing circuit...earned a national medal in Division 2 at the 2016 October NAC in fencing...was also a member of the cross country and track & field teams at John Carroll School...was a cross country two time MIAA B Conference team champion for.

PERSONAL: Plans to major in sociology...chose Vassar because of the open curriculum, accepting environment, and the numerous options of courses and majors to choose from.
