2021-22 Matthew Vassar Outstanding Career Award Finalist

2021-22: As a captain and squad leader, finished his last year with a 45-28 record in foil… placed in the top 16 at The Big One… Went 13-3 at the Drew Tournament, with victories over Stevens (2-1), Rutgers (3-0), Yeshiva (2-0), Navy (3-0), and Drew (2-0)… Went 14-5 at the Vassar Invitational with wins over Yeshiva (2-0), Hunter (2-0), Lafayette (2-1), West Point (2-1), Cornell (2-1), and Drew (3-0)… Earned 9 epee wins at the Matt Lampell Hudson River Invite… Went 10-3 at the Northeast Conference Multimeet #3, winning against Tufts (3-0), U Mass (1-0), UNH (3-0), and BU (3-0)… Beat NYU (2-1) at the George Kolombatovich Historical Meet… Helped the foil squad reach 3rd place at the New England Intercollegiate Fencing Conference Championships… Made the semifinal pool and placed 21st at Northeast Regionals to earn an All-American Division III honorable mention.

2020-21: Season canceled due to COVID-19 ...

2019-20: Had a strong season, going 61-30 at foil… Opened the season 15-5 at the Vassar Invitational, defeating Yeshiva (3-0), Haverford (2-1), and West Point (3-0)… Recorded an 18-0 mark at the Matt Lampell Hudson River Invite, sweeping Cornell, RPI, Drew, Binghamton, RIT, and Rochester… Added eight wins at the Sacred Heart Tradition… Recorded a 6-4 mark at the Northeast Multi-Meet #2, defeating MIT (3-0) and Tufts (3-0)… Was 6-4 at the third NFC meet with a 3-0 mark against Dartmouth… Qualified for the NCAA Northeast Regional, placing 32^nd.
 
2018-19: Strong freshman campaign, going 66-32 in foil… Opened the year 16-5 at the Nov. 11 Vassar Invite… Went 16-2 at the Matt Lampell Invite… Was 15-2 at the Drew Invitational on Dec. 1 with wins against Navy (2-0), Pitt (3-0), Florida (3-0), Army (2-1) and Hunter (3-0)… Tallied a 3-0 victory against New Hampshire to close the season… Was 31^st at the NCAA Northeast Regionals.

PREVIOUS TO VASSAR: Competed for The Fencing Academy of Westchester... All-academic national second team member sophomore and junior years.

PERSONAL: Chose Vassar for the amazing academics, the fencing team and recruiting and the campus is beautiful.
