PRIOR TO VASSAR: Was a four-year varsity played for the River Rats of Huron High School...started at No. 4 singles as a freshman, while playing No. 1 the remainder of his prep career...helped his squad to a pair of team state titles in 2013 and 2016...was a team co-captain as a junior and senior...earned SEC Scholar-Athlete while earning First Team All-State accolades...was the SEC No. 4 champion as a freshman...finished as league and section champion as a senior...member of National Honor Society...National Merit Finalist...AP Scholar with Distinction.Â
PERSONAL: Parents Michael and Rachel Gandham...has two siblings, Aaron (20) and Miriam (16)...grandmother Victoria Theophilus and aunt Florence Theophilus graduated from Vassar...uncle Sean Jayakar played tennis at Cornell University.. chose Vassar over Swarthmore, Kenyon and the University of Michigan.Â
