Biography

2020-21: Season canceled due to COVID-19 ...

2019-20: Led the Vassar foil squad with a 69-33 overall record… Opened the season going 11-6 at the Vassar Invitational, posting wins over Yeshiva (2-0), Hunter (3-0), West Point (3-0), Incarnate Word (2-1), and Drew (2-1)… Then went 17-1 at the Matt Lampell Hudson River Invite, winning 15-straight bouts... At the Drew Tournament, was 20-1 with 3-0 marks against Denison, Clemson, Yeshiva, Hunter, Drew, and Florida… Went 5-1 at the Northeast Conference Multi-Meet #3, winning against UMass (1-0), Boston University (3-0), and New Hampshire (1-0)… Was 4-2 in the dual meet against NYU (2-1) and Columbia (2-1)… Finished 37th at the NCAA Northeast Regional Meet.

2018-19: Wrapped up the season with a 50-33 foil record… Went 11-6 at the Vassar Invitational season opener, picking up wins against Yeshiva (3-0), Drew (2-0), and West Point (2-0)… Recorded a dominant 19-1 record at the Matt Lampell Hudson River Invite on Nov. 18… Was 3-0 against Drew, RIT, Marist, Binghamton, and Florida… Was the top Vassar finisher in foil at the NCAA Northeast Regionals, placing 20th.
 
2017-18: Brandt-Ogman started his foil career with the Brewers, immediately becoming a strong contributor for Vassar, finishing his season with the second most wins in Men’s Foil... finished his season with a 52-43 record…began the season going 10-2 at the Vassar Invitational and beating Hunter College and Drew University 3-0…appeared dominant finishing 17-1 at the Matt Lampell Hudson River Invite, going undefeated against Cornell, RPI, Drew University and University of Rochester…Finished his season going 2-1 against John Hopkins University… placed the highest for the Brewers at the NCAA Northeast Regionals at 22nd overall.

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Attended Sounview Preparatory School, while competing for the Candlewood Fencing Center's foil team...was rated "C", recently placing 28th at the 2017 USFA Nationals Division II...2016 JMF Nutmeg State Games second place finishers...earned first place at the 2016 Division II CT Division National Qualifier...earned 7th place at the 2015 USFA Nationals Division III...2015 second place finish at the JMF CT Junior Olympics...2015 Division II CT Summer National Qualifiers first-place...earned 2016 and 207 USFA All-American Second Team...2015, 2016 and 2017 All-Academic First Team...co-editor of the Soundview Prep Literary Magazine. 

PERSONAL: Parents are Eugene Ogman and Ariane Brandt...grandmother Yanna Kroyt Brandt was Vassar class of '53...chose Vassar because "Vassar's emphasis on the liberal arts, its excellent art program, and the kind and dedicated atmosphere among the students and teachers I met were key to my decision to commit to Vassar as my first choice."
