Biography
2017-18: As a freshman Bartz swam two seasons bests at the LL Championships, 23.24 in the 50 Free and 50.79 in the 100 Free… Improved his 50 Free four times throughout the season, dropping over a second from his debut to final race… Saw action in the 200 Free and 50 Back early in the season.
PRIOR TO VASSAR: Was a three-sport letter-winner for the Scarlets of East High School...competed in cross country, tennis and swimming...named Most Improved Swimmer as a junior...earned a spot in the State Championships during his tenure.
PERSONAL: Chemistry major...chose Vassar over Reed College and the University of Iowa because "I wanted to travel to a school far from my state, and it is known for its academics."
