PRIOR TO VASSAR: Midfielder for the Wildebeests soccer team at Sandy Spring Friends School...As a senior was named captain, Team Offensive MVP, PVAC First Team, PVAC Co-Player of the Year, and was a Washington Post All-Met Honorable Mention.

PERSONAL: Parents are Diana Friedman and Javier Martinez...Has one sibling Naomi...Chose Vassar because of the top-notch academics, diverse student body, and competitive soccer program.
