2018: Assumed a starting position for the Brewers in her senior year, proving to be an offensive force for the squad…led the team and third in the league in goals with 13…scored the game-winning lone goal in the Brewer defeat of Montclair State…tallied pairs against Western Connecticut, Scranton, Manhattanville and Ramapo.
2017: Liberty League All-Academic Team…continued to improve as a junior, played in all 18 games as a serious threat off the bench…scored 10 goals on the season, good for second on the team and fifth in the Liberty League…pinpoint accurate in her shots with a shot percentage of .333, good for third on the team.
2016: Was one of Vassar's most improved players, as her hard work in the offseason paid off...key contributor off the bench for Vassar, playing in 17 games as a substitute...scored five goals, two game-winners, and assisted on three others...took 23 shots on the season...was fifth on the team in points with 13...scored her first goal of the season in a 9-0 win over Brockport...tallied a goal in a 6-0 win against Ramapo...scored once, the game-winning goal, in a 3-0 road win over St. Lawrence University...was great against Union College, scoring a goal and assisting on two others October 20...scored the game-winning goal in a home win over Skidmore October 15...had a season-high six shots on goal against Ramapo.
2015: Played in eight games for the Brewers in her first year...Poehlein boasts a 100% shot percentage as all three of her shots this season found the back of the net...her first two goals were scored in a 6-0 win over Manhattanville (Sept 1)...her third tally came against a 4-1 victory over Western Connecticut State (Sept 16)...ranks seventh on the team in goals...ranks eighth on the team in points with six.
PRIOR TO VASSAR: Was a two-sport athlete for the Blue Devils of Northampton High School...lettered for four seasons in field hockey, being voted as a captain as a senior...earned All-Western Massachusetts as a senior...named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad in 2014...also was a captain and four-year player on the lacrosse team for NHS...played for Element Athletics field hockey club.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Jennifer Mark and Greg Poehlein...has one brother, Henry (17)...biology major...chose Vassar over Union College.
