2020: Pitched in two games, going 3.1 innings for a 2.70 ERA… Struck out five batters and gave up only three hits and one run… Went 2.1 innings against Scranton (2/23) with three strikeouts… Then posted two strikeouts in 1.0 innings in the win over Rivier (2/29).
2019: Started the most games on the mound for Vassar with nine… Pitched 40.0 innings and picked up his first win of the season against RPI (4/6)… Led Vassar with 34 strikeouts… Against Bard (3/23) allowed just two hits over six innings.
2018: Had a fantastic sophomore season for the Brewers, becoming one of the best arms on the squad...finished the season with a 3.45 ERA, leading the team in innings pitched with 47 and strikeouts with 30...allowed batters to hit just .264 off of him...worked in 11 games, starting eight times...was 3-4 overall...earned one save as well...earned Liberty League Pitcher of the Week after tossing one of the best games in program history against Caltech, allowing only two hits over eight innings, striking out six and walking one...earned the win against St. Lawrence, going seven innings while striking out six and surrendering just one earned run...got the win in a 2-1 victory for Vassar against Skidmore, allowing five hits and one run over 6.2 innings...tough luck loser in a 3-1 loss to Clarkson, allowing six hits over six innings and three runs...got the save against Bard College May 6 in a must-win game, going the final three innings while allowing just three hits.
2017: The left-hander had a strong season for Vassar, becoming a shutdown option out of the 'pen for VC...posted a 4.09 ERA on the year in 14 appearances, starting once...earned one save...struck out 20 batters in 22.0 innings on the mound...batters hit just .256 off him for the season...was 2-2 on the season...finished the season by not allowing a run over his last six appearances, a span of 10.1 innings...struck out five over 3.2 innings at Bard College April 30...picked up his first career win against NYU March 18, going three scoreless innings while fanning three...struck out four of the seven batters he faced against RPI April 22, allowing no hits...posted a 3.09 ERA in Liberty League play...threw more relief innings than anyone else on the team.
PRIOR TO VASSAR: Earned a pair of varsity letters for the Falcons of Torrey Pines High School...named as a senior captain, as he was named to the All-Palomar League Honorable Mention team...posted a 1.68 ERA with 59 strikeouts over 62.2 innings of work as a senior...helped his squad to the Palomar League title in 2015...posted a 4.00 GPA, and was a two-time selection to the San Diego Union-Tribune All-Academic Team...member of National Honor Society...AP Scholar with Distinction...also earned Freshman Team and Junior Varsity Pitcher of the Year honors.
PERSONAL: Parents Jeb and Carol...sisters Abby, Emma and Casady...economics major...chose Vassar over Bates College, Tufts University and Swarthmore.
