2019: Appeared in nine games, starting three as a pitcher… Recorded 15 strikeouts in 25.0 innings… Finished the year with a 5.76 ERA… Kept opponents to a .275 batting average… Season-high four strikeouts against CCNY (4/3)… Did not allow a hit in two innings pitched against Union (4/20).
2018: Sophomore righty for the Brewers pitched in five games in his second season with the Brewers...went 1-2 with a 7.71 ERA, striking out nine over 14 innings as a sophomore...earned his first win of the season against Mount Saint Vincent, striking out four while allowing two earned runs and five hits April 24...at Clarkson, came on in relief and allowed one earned run over two innings.
2017: The freshman right-hander had a very strong campaign as a rookie, as he assumed a weekend starter role for VC...posted a 5.30 ERA over eight appearances, all starts...struck out 24 batters over 35.2 innings of work...was 2-2 as a freshman...struck out seven hitters in his first collegiate start, allowing just three hits...started against nationally-ranked Johns Hopkins, allowing one earned run and four hits...went 6.2 innings against Plattsburgh State, allowing just three earned runs...surrendered just two runs over 6.2 innings against RPI April 22, allowing five hits to earn his first collegiate win...moved to 2-1 on the year with a five inning, one earned run start against Bard College.
PRIOR TO VASSAR: Lettered for two seasons for the Wolverines of Wellington High School and head coach Scott Riddle...named as a co-captain as a senior...earned Team First Award as a junior...earned All-Conference Honorable Mention as a junior, also picking up All-State Academic Team as a senior...led WHS in relief appearances as a junior and senior...helped his team to a school-record eight game winning stream as a senior...squad advanced to the Regional semis as a senior...ranked eighth in his graduating class...recipient of the AICE Diploma with Merit...member of the National Honor Society...treasurer of the National English Honor Society.
PERSONAL: Parents Rick and Joan Silver...has two siblings, Drew (33) and Krista (30)...economics major...chose VC over Brandeis University and the University of Florida.
