2018: The senior captain was one of the most-used pitchers in the Liberty League for the second consecutive season...came on out of the bullpen 18 times for Vassar in 2018, the second-most appearances in a season ever for the Brewers...allowed no runs in 14 of his appearances...was dominant down the stretch as he allowed no hits in his final four outings...surrendered only two extra-base hits in all of 2018 over 10 innings...in a huge series against Bard College, appeared in all three wins, helping nail down victories while earning the win in a 4-2 victory on Senior Day...went 0.2 innings against St. Lawrence University, earning the win in a 6-4 victory March 31...was 3-0 as a senior, posting two saves as well...in a 2-1 win over Skidmore, came on and got the last out for the save...worked a scoreless ninth against Mount Saint Vincent to earn the save in a 6-4 win...finished his career with a 4.50 ERA, seeing action in 43 games with three saves...his 43 appearances are the 11th most ever for a hurler at VC. 

2017: The tall right hander had a strong junior season, as he became one of the best options for Vassar out of the bullpen...earned Honorable Mention All-Liberty League after appearing in 17 games, posting a 1.46 ERA over 12.1 innings of work...allowed just two earned runs to score, striking out five batters on the season...led the team in appearances, and his 17 were the second-most for a single season at Vassar ever...went 13 outings without allowing an earned run...was great at not letting inherited runners to score...came on with the bases loaded and one out against Union, and didn't allow a run to score April 14...against Plattsburgh, came on in bases loaded, two-out jam and needed four pitches to get out of the inning...against RPI in a four-game series, twice game on with two runners on and two out, retiring the side unscathed...allowed just 10 of 32 inherited runners to score on the season. 

2016: Liberty League All-Academic Team... Posted a 0-0 record with a save, accumulating a 5.59 ERA over eight appearances... Tossed 9.2 innings, allowing 10 runs (six earned) on 14 hits... Picked up a save after tossing a season-high three shutout innings with two strikeouts and two walks secure an 11-1 win against Mount Saint Mary on 4/27...Tossed a shutout inning against UW-Stout on 3/19... Pitched another shutout inning against Clarkson University on 4/11... Tossed another shutout inning against Stevens on 4/16... Surrendered just one multi-base hit.

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Was a three-year letter winner on the hoops team and two-year pitcher and first baseman at Needham High School...was voted as the Most Improved Player for hoops as a sophomore and junior...also lettered on the football team for the Rockets...voted as a team captain as a senior for both hoops and baseball.

PERSONAL: Son of Carl and Fabienne Madsen...has one brother, Peter (24)...majoring in economics...chose Vassar over Middlebury, UNC and Furman.
