2016-17: Set a personal record in the 1000 free (11:17.33) at the Liberty League Championships...swam a personal best in the 50 free (25.25) at the Skidmore Sprint Invitational...named to the Liberty League All-Academic Team.

2015-16: Swam a personal best in the 1000 free (11:33.26) at the Vassar vs. New York Meet...swam a personal best in the 100 free (54.84) at the Liberty League Championships...strongly improved his time in the 1650 free swimming a personal best (18:33.81) at the Liberty League Championships

2014-15: Swam a personal best in the 50 free (25.61) against Skidmore College…swam a personal best in the 100 free (55.95) at the Skidmore Sprint Invitational…swam a personal best in the 200 free (1:57.93) during the preliminary round at New York State Championships…swam a season best in the 500 free (5:32.39) at the Skidmore Sprint Invitational…swam a personal best in the 1000 free (11:45.99) against Roger Williams University…swam a team and personal season best in the 1650 free (19:37.47) at Liberty League Championships. 

2013-14: Swam a season-best in the 100 fly with a time of 1:02.75…swam his first ever 1,000 freestyle at RPI’s Kumpf Invite with a 15^th place, 12:01.44 finish…helped the Brewers earn a huge Liberty League win over Skidmore taking third in the 400 free relay (1:54.07).

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Lettered all four years as a Mustang at Cypress Ranch...captained his senior year...two-time district team champion...two-time Academic All-Texas...Academic All-American...National Honor Society, HOSA Vice President, Key Club, AP Scholar with Distinction.

PERSONAL: Parents are Walter Gabriel Sr. and Ivonne Rougon-Gabriel...younger brothers are Hermann and Hans...coaches swimming over the summer...majoring in STS...plans to get involved with MECHA, Young Democrats and Habitat for Humanity...picked Vassar over Baylor, Case Western Reserve, Rice and Boston College...chose Vassar because, "It looks like Hogwarts! In addition to the academic prestige."
