Vassar College Athletics

2017-18: Racek concluded a stellar Vassar Career, posting a 63-34 record in foil… opened the season with 10 wins in the Vassar Invitational… went undefeated in the Matt Lampell Hudson River Invitational, finishing with 18 wins and going 3-0 in all matches… went 3-0 against Tufts on January 28^th… went 12-3 on the day on February 10^th, going 3-0 against UNH, Dartmouth, Boston University, and UMass… finished 29^th overall at the NCAA Northeast Regional… was named to the Northeast Fencing Conference Second Team for Men’s Foil.

2014-15: Racek saw a sucessful first season with the Brewers as a member of their highly competitive foil squad...he started the season with a bang, going 15W-6L at the Vassar Invitational on Nov. 9 where he swept Yeshiva, Hunter, Lafayette, and West Point...continued to break out at the Matt Lampell Hudson River Invitational Nov. 16, where he went 13W-2L and kept Cornell, Albany, and Marist all to zero...he went 51W-36L overall in his premiere season...was one of two foil fencers sent to the NCAA Regional Tournament where he tied for the 19th slot.

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Currently a "B" rated foil fencer by the USFA...finished third at the April North American Cup Division II men's foil competition...was the 2013 Philadelphia Cup Champion...also won the 2012 Keystone State Games in foil...was a class officer and Film Club President at Abington Heights HS.

PERSONAL: Son of Scott Racek and Phyllis Cournan...majoring in international studies and film...chose Vassar over Lafayette, Cleveland State University and Penn State University.
