2015-16: Liberty League All-Academic...Started and played in all 25 games this season, averaging 29.64 minutes a night...scoring average of 12.7 points per game, which places her as the second highest scorer for the team. Shot 38.7 percent as a senior, making 123 of her 318 field goal attempts.... ranked number one for the Brewers at the free throw line with 80.7 percent accuracy, making 67 of her 83 attempted free throws. Drakeley was one of the leaders in rebounds, ranking second on the team. She made a grand total of 172 rebounds for the season, which averages out to 6.9 rebounds per game. On average, 4.7 of these rebounds were defensive and 2.2 were offensive. Caitlin led the Brewers in steals, with a total of 36 steals for the season. She ranks second on the team for both shots blocked (9 total) and minutes played in the season (741). In Vassar’s final home game against Bard College (02/17/16), Drakeley logged a game-high 24 points along with 10 rebounds, seven assists and three steals. In the final game of the season against RPI (02/21/16), Drakeley added 16 points with 18 rebounds. In a contest with Skidmore (02/14/16), Drakeley chipped in with 11 points.
2014-2015: Was one of the best players in the Liberty League as a junior, as she finished the season as the Liberty League leading scorer with 17.5 points per game in 2014-15...one of only two players unanimously selected to the Ll-Liberty League First Team...started and played all 25 games for the Brewers, averaging 34.6 minutes a night...became Vassar's 11th member of the 1,000 point club in the 24th game of the season, chalking up 18 points against Bard College, finishing the season with 1,012 points in her career...her scoring average of 17.5 for a season is the fifth-highest ever...going into her senior campaign, Drakeley is fifth all-time in scoring with 12.7 points per game...shot 42.8 percent as a junior, making 167 of her 390 field goal attempts...was 15th in the Liberty League in rebounding, pulling down 6.7 rebounds a night...was seventh in the conference in total assists with 66...her minutes per game average was the fourth-most in the Liberty League...was 60th nationally in points per game at the end of the year...chalked up her career-high of 32 points twice, hanging the total on Williams College Nov. 16 and Union College Jan. 3...scored in double figures in 22 of 25 games in 2014-15...had a five-game streak early in the year with 20 or more points in each game...poured in 28 points at RIT, making 11 field goals on the contest...her 15 field goals at Union were a school record for makes in a game...posted a huge double-double against Wesleyan Nov. 25, going for 20 points, 15 rebounds and four assists...had four double-doubles on the season...finished with 21 points and 10 caroms against New Paltz Nov. 19...tallied 23 points and 12 boards in a road win at Mt. 2013-2014: Had a breakout season for the Brewers, as the sophomore started in all 29 games for Vassar...became one of the Vassar's go-to options throughout the season...finished with 12.9 points and 7.7 rebounds per game...was 14th in the Liberty League in scoring and ninth in rebounding...was seventh in the conference in minutes played per game with 33.1 minutes per game...posted double figures in 21 games as a sophomore...tallied 10 double-doubles on the season...chalked up a career-high 28 points in the Brewer's NCAA Second Round contest against Scranton, going 12-of-22 from the floor...scored over 20 points in three outings...posted 21 points and 13 boards in a victory over Skidmore Feb. 14, knocking down game-tying three pointer with seconds remaining..chalked up 21 points and eight rebounds in a victory over St. Joseph's (LI)...totalled a huge line against New Paltz Nov. 21, going for 14 points, 10 rebounds and eight steals...had 18 points and a career-high 13 rebounds at RPI Jan. 28...handed out a season-best seven assists in a win over RIT Feb. 7...played a career-high 45 minutes at Williams Smith, going for 18 points and 10 caroms...shot .790 from the free throw line, including a career-high nine made free throws against Union College Feb. 15.
2012-2013: As a freshman, started in 13 games…played in 26 games…averaged 7.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game…had a season-high 17 points and added nine rebounds in her first collegiate game against Brockport…posted a season-high 11 rebounds against Berkeley College…scored in double figures nine times, and recorded at least five rebounds in 14 games during the season…shot 38.2% from the field, and 65% from the free-throw line on the season...poured in 12 points and grabbed seven caroms at RIT January 25...posted double-figures in four straight contests during the middle of the season...scored in eight or more points in 14 games.
Prior to Vassar: Lettered four years in basketball for coach John Somero…third-leading scorer in Nonnewaug HS history...was captain junior and senior year…CT All-State as a senior...CT Top 20 Player, and selected to Top 20 All-Star Game for All Divisions...named 1st team All-Berkshire League her senior and junior year, 2nd Team sophomore year, and honorable mention freshman year…other honors include Academic All-State… NHS 2012 Scholar-Athlete… lettered four years in field hockey and softball...CT All-State in field hockey as well...named NHS Female Athlete of the Year as a senior.Â
Personal: Parents are Bill and Christine Drakeley…has three siblings, Billy (25), Samantha (23) and Anna (18)...neuroscience and behavior major...chose Vassar for its "academics and strong basketball program."
