2014 Liberty League Defensive Player of the Week - 3/17

2015: Honorable Mention All-Liberty League… Liberty League All-Academic…started 13 of 16 games…finished with career highs in caused turnovers (27), draw controls (25), and goals (5) …her 77 career caused turnovers ranks fourth in school history and her 27 CTO’s this year ranks sixth on the single season list…finished fourth on the team in ground balls (28) and draw controls (25)…finished with two goals against New Paltz (4/14) and Bard (4/18)…had season-high four caused turnovers vs. St Lawrence (4/24) and Skidmore (5/1)…posted season-high five ground balls vs. St. Lawrence (4/24). 

2014: Played in all 16 games with 15 starts...scored her second collegiate goal against Old Westbury off a free position situation...second on the team in caused turnovers with 18 and a season-high of three against Skidmore College...recovered 22 ground balls...fourth on the team in draw controls with 23.

2013: Played in all 16 games and started in 14 as a defender…ranked second on the team with 40 ground balls and 21 caused turnovers…also had 13 draw controls...recorded at least one ground ball in all 16 games and had multiple ground ball pick ups in 10 games…picked up a season high six ground balls against RPI…caused a season high five turnovers in an overtime win against Union.

2012: Played in 15 games and started two as a defender…recovered 20 ground balls to rank fifth on the team and caused seven turnovers…scored one goal against Oneonta State on March 16…earned her first collegiate start against Fisher…recorded three ground balls against Bridgewater State and Western Connecticut State.

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Lettered four years in lacrosse at Nyack High School…sectional and Regional Champions her junior and senior year…earned All-League Honorable mention her junior, sophomore, and freshman seasons…earned the Brie Sportsmanship Award her sophomore year…won the Brie Choice Award her junior year…given All-Section honorable mention her junior and senior year…team captain her senior year…lettered four years in soccer…All-League honorable mention and team captain her junior and senior year.

PERSONAL: Parents are Andrew Toland and Lisa Magano...brothers are Nick (21) and Matt (11)...participates in Slow Food and Vassar Food Cooperative...chose Vassar because, "The small class sizes, friendly people, challenging academics and the open-mindedness."
