2017-18: Polston wrapped up his Vassar fencing career with a successful senior season, posting a 61-34 record in sabre and a 10-8 in epee… opened the season with a 12-4 outing at the Vassar Invitational, with a 3-0 wins over Stevens… went 10-8 fencing epee at the Matt Lampell Hudson River Invitational, with a 3-0 win over Rochester… won a match 3-0 against Sacred Heart on December 2
nd… posted two 3-0 wins on January 28
th against MIT and Tufts… was undefeated on February 10
th against UNH, Dartmouth, Boston University, Sacred Heart, and UMass… was seventh overall at the New England Intercollegiate Fencing Conference Championships… was 27
th place at the NCAA Northeast Regional… was named to the Second Team in the Northeast Fencing Conference for Men’s Sabre.
2014-15: Started the season with a strong performance at the Vassar Invitational, where he went 11W-5L on the day and swept Yeshiva, Hunter, and West Point Nov. 9...continued his success at the Matt Lampell Hudson River Invitational with a 14W-1L performance, sweeping Cornell, RPI, Albany, and Marist Nov. 16...went totally undefeated at the VC Fencing challenge, posting a 11W-0L day Jan. 18...saw another undefeated day of play on Feb. 10 when he went 6W-0L on the second day of the Dartmouth Invitational Tournament...was the first ever Vassar fencer to be awarded the ECAC Fencer of the Week honor...rounded out the season at 65W-23L overall...had a sensational performance at the NCAA Northeast Regional Competition where he made it all the way to the finals and finished as a co-champion of the competition.
PRIOR TO VASSAR: Highly recruited sabre fencer that brings a USFA "A" rating to the table for the Brewers...earned a "B" rating distinction at the Regional Open Circuit event in December 2013, renewing it by winning the 2014 Hangover Classic in January 2014...finished in the top eight at the Division I Summer Nationals in 2014 to earn his "A" rating.
