2014-15:
XC: Capped off her college cross country career with one of the best seasons in Vassar history...placed first for Vassar in every race except her season debut...Placed first for Vassar and fifth overall at the James Earley Invitational, running a personal best 5k time of 18:32.75 and beating 419 other runners in the process...placed fourth overall at the Seven Sisters Championship with a 6k time of 22:58, earning First Team All-Seven Sisters accolades...earned First Team All-Liberty League honors after placing seventh overall at the Liberty League Championship with a time of 22:29.2...ran a blazing fast 6k time of 22:16 at the Atlantic Region Championship to place 16th overall, earning All-Region honors and qualifying for the NCAA National Championship, while also helping the team place seventh overall...the 22:16 clocking was a personal best, the fastest time ever run by a Brewer at Regionals, and makes her the third fastest 6k runner in school history on any course, in any conditions...overcame illness and challenging weather conditions at the National Championship, crossing the line in 23:34, beating 133 of the nation's best runners, including runners from every school except Williams and MIT.
2013-14:
XC: One of the most consistent runners on the team for the Brewers, as she moved into a consistent scoring role for VC...competed in all but two races as a junior...finished outside of the VC top five only once in her seven races...started the season with a 21:35.92 at the Marist Invitational, placing 13th out of 50 runners and second among Vassar competitors...crossed the line in 16th place out of 194 runners at the Ramapo Roadrunners Invitational, posting a time of 24:56...booked her personal-low on a 5k course with a 19:06.1, finishing fourth among Brewer runners at the Saratoga XC Invite...scored for VC at the Pre-Regional at Geneseo, finishing 54th out of 268 runners with a time of 23:37.4...just missed earning All-Seven Sisters by trekking the 5k course in 19:56.2, placing 13th to help Vassar earn the team title...finished the year with a 23:27.4 at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals as the fifth runner in for the Brewers.
Track: Ran a 5000m personal best at the Monmouth Season Opener, clocking 18:57.37...won her heat of the 1500m at the Ramapo Invite with a time of 5:05.22...ran a personal best 10:46.91 for 3000m at the RPI Invite, placing fifth overall...placed third in the 10,000m at the Liberty League Championship, running an ECAC-qualifying time of 39:41.85...ran 5:06.47 for 1500m at the Yale Invite, once again kicking away from the field to win her heat and remain undefeated head-to-head in the 1500 for the year...placed second in the 5000m in a personal best and ECAC-qualifying time of 18:29.89 at the Vassar Twilight.Â
2012-13:
XC: Competed in five meets for the Brewers as a sophomore...has a solid season, as she was routinely in the top seven for Vassar...started the season with a 24:25 in Rochester Pre-Regional, finishing 131st out of 360 runners...was the fourth Brewers to cross the line at the Paul Short at Lehigh, booking a 24:48...finished 30th at the Liberty League Championships, clocking a 24:09...was the individual champion at the Late Season Invite, as she led all 17 runners with a 19:43, her personal best in the 5k...ran at NCAA Regionals, posting a 23:48 for 75th place out of 277 competitors.
Track: Ran in four meets in the spring for Vassar, posting times in the 3k and 5k...competed in the Upstate Track & Field Classic in the 3000, running a 11:39.20 for ninth place...posted a 20:35.22 in the 5000 at the Liberty League Outdoor Championships Apr. 20...posted a personal-best at the time in the 3000 at the 2013 Yale Springtime Invitational, booking a 11:14.02...finished the season with a personal-low in the 5k with a time of 19:07 at the Matthew Vassar Open, placing eighth overall.
2011-12:
XC: Top 7 for Vassar in each of her races... debuted at the Paul Short Invitational, where she finished 155th out of 385, 6th for Vassar, in 24:24... ran 24:04 to finish 46th out of 217 at the St. Lawrence Pre-Regional... placed 12th overall with a personal-best time of 20:04 for 5k to help Vassar win its second-straight Seven Sisters Championship... finished 17th overall, 6th for Vassar, at the Liberty League Championships, running 23:54... ran a personal-best 23:23 at the Regional Championships, finishing 47th out of 256 (3rd for Vassar).
PRIOR TO VASSAR: Lettered in cross country, track, and soccer at Mountain View High School... qualified for the Central Coast Sectional Championships and competed at the California State Championships for cross country... selected as an All-League Runner... played varsity soccer her first 3 years in high school before switching to cross country and track.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Kacey Carpenter and Shelby Biddy...has one brother, Rob Carpenter, who also attends Vassar and is on the lacrosse team...studying STS (Science, Technology, and Society).
