Swarthmore, PA - The Vassar College Women's Volleyball team fell twice on the road on Saturday as the Brewers fell 19-25, 23-25, 20-25 to Dickinson before dropping a 24-26, 11-25, 25-22, 23-25 to Swarthmore in the nightcap. Vassar's record moves to 5-5 on the season.

First Set
- Vassar scored the first three points of the match following a kill from sophomore Elena Feuer and blocks from juniors Erin Lovett and Eleanor Gegen and Feuer.
- Dickinson scored six straight to pull ahead 6-3, led by two aces from Avery Butcher, before VC regained the lead at 8-7 on consecutive kills from senior Holland Kaplan.
- The Red Devils answered to take a 15-10 lead on a winner from Jessica Currie.
- VC cut the deficit to 16-15 following two kills each from Gegen and Feuer.
- Dickinson's lead grew to 23-17 on a kill fro Kylie Schner and two more kills from Schner gave the Red Devils the opening set victory.
Second Set
- Vassar collected a 6-3 lead to open the second set as Lovett buried two winners along with a kill each from Feuer and Kaplan.
- Dickinson evened the set at six on a kill from Schner before VC pushed the lead back to 13-8 on an ace each from first year Sophia Ierulli and sophomore Amy Melchior and a kill from first year Gina O'Connell.
- VC rattled off six straight points, led by three kills from Gegen, to expand the lead to 19-10.
- Following an ace from senior T Petro to put the Brewers on top 22-14, Dickinson scored 10 straight points with a block from Caroline Cusson and Mallie Thomas to earn a 24-22 lead.
- Lovett buried a winner to get back within one at 24-23 but a VC error led to Dickinson winning the second set.
Third Set
- Dickinson scored a 7-2 lead to begin the third set behind three kills and two aces from Thomas.
- Vassar battled back to tie the set at nine, led by two kills from O'Connell and an ace from Melchior.
- The Red Devils regained the lead at 15-12 on a solo block from Cusson and kills from Schner and Thomas.
- Two straight kills from Kaplan knotted the set at 16 until Dickinson built the lead back to 21-17 on a kill from Norah Oppenheim.
- Vassar would get within three on a winner from Lovett at 23-20 before Dickinson scored the last two points of the set.
For The Brewers
- Kaplan finished with nine kills and seven digs while Lovett tallied eight kills, a block and four digs.
- Gegen totaled eight kills, three blocks and four digs along with Feuer posting four kills and four blocks.
- O'Connell chipped in four kills and three blocks while senior Francesca Medrano recorded 28 assists and 13 digs.
- Petro lifted a match-high 19 digs.
For The Red Devils
- Thomas notched 11 kills, four aces and 12 digs while Schener registered seven kills and four digs.
- Currie posted six kills and two blocks along with Emery Fishbach adding five kills.
- Oppenheim chipped in five kills while Cusson recorded two kills and four blocks.
- Brenna Williams finished with 17 assists and six digs along with Lora Flynn totaling 11 assists, four aces and six digs.
- Butcher garnered 12 digs and three aces.

First Set
- Swarthmore went ahead 6-2 to start the match behind three kills from Ella Tsai and a winner each from Maya Sheridan and Mailey Wang.
- Vassar pulled ahead 8-7 on kills from O'Connell, Gegen and senior Maura McAusland.
- Swarthmore regained the lead at 16-13 on two kills from Keira Miles and an ace from Nicole Kim.
- VC battled back to take a 20-17 lead, led by kills from O'Connell, Gegen and Lovett and blocks from O'Connell, Medrano and Gegen.
- Lovett's kill put the Brewers on set point 24-22 before Swarthmore scored the final four points of the set with Kim's kill clinching the set 26-24.
Second Set
- The Garnet collected a 7-2 lead in the second set as Sheridan landed two aces and Wang, Tsai and Miles each had a block.
- Vassar pulled within 10-9 on kills from Gegen and O'Connell along with a block from O'Connell and McAusland.
- Swarthmore expanded the advantage to 14-9 on a Tsai kill and scored seven straight to take a 21-10 lead.
- VC got to within 10 on a block from Kaplan and Feuer before two Miles kills gave Swarthmore the set victory.
Third Set
- Swarthmore scored a 7-3 lead in the third set on two kills from Miles and an ace from Sheridan.
- Vassar climbed back within 9-8 on a kill from McAusland before the Garnet expanded the lead to 16-13 on a kill from Kate Roberts.
- The Brewers earned a 17-16 lead on two winners from McAusland until a kill each from Miles and Wang led Swarthmore back ahead 21-19.
- Vassar closed the set with six of the next seven points behind two Kaplan kills, an ace and a block from McAusland and a winner from Lovett.
Fourth Set
- VC collected an 8-5 advantage to start the fourth set as McAusland added a kill along with two kills from Kaplan and a block from O'Connell and Medrano.
- Maggie Rankin's solo block put the Garnet within 11-10 before a five-point run, led by three kills from McAusland and two kills from Lovett, to take a 16-10 lead.
- Kaplan's kill put VC ahead 19-12 before six straight points from Swarthmore cut the deficit to 19-18.
- Swarthmore propelled in front 22-21 on a kill from Isabel Adam before Vassar tied the set at 22 on an O'Connell winner.
- The Garnet closed the match with three of the final four points with Tsai burying two kills to clinch the match victory.
For The Brewers
- McAusland finished with 17 kills, 12 digs, two aces and two blocks while Kaplan added eight kills and nine digs.
- Lovett posted seven kills, Feuer notched five kills, three digs and two blocks along with O'Connell registered five kills, four digs and seven blocks.
- Gegen chipped in five kills and three digs while Medrano registered 39 assists, three blocks and 13 digs.
- First year Riley Huang lifted 13 digs along with Petro recording seven digs.
For The Garnet
- Tsai recorded a match-high 21 kills (.429) and two blocks along with Adam posting 12 kills, two aces and 10 digs.
- Miles finished with 11 kills while Wang totaled seven kills and four blocks.
- Sheridan garnered 30 assists, six aces and 14 digs while Lois Matsukawa registered 14 assists and six digs.
- Kim tallied four aces and six digs and Melissa Eyer lifted a match-high 25 digs.
