Troy, NY – Five members of the Vassar College Men's Tennis team were named All-Liberty League it was revealed Tuesday morning by the league office. Junior
Eugene Lee (Chico, CA) was named First Team in singles with
Fernando Bauermeister (Winter Park, FL) and
Nolan Kubiak (Oregon, WI) earning Second Team All-League honors in both singles and doubles. Vassar's second doubles pair of
Pedro Cattaruzzi (Chatham, NJ) and
Junchen Jia (Vail, AZ) earned Honorable Mention All-Conference status for the Brewers.
Lee, who earned a berth into the Division III NCAA Singles Championship, is a first-time First Team All-Liberty League selection in singles play. Lee had a standout season for the Brewers, posting a 14-4 record during the spring season at the top singles flight, while showing an 18-8 record covering the season's two semesters. Lee won three of his final four decisions of the spring heading into the singles championship this weekend and was tabbed the Liberty League Singles Performer of the Week twice.
Bauermeister earns All-Conference honors for the fourth straight season and Second Team accolades for the second straight season in singles play. Playing out of the second singles position as a senior, Bauermeister went 10-7 for the Brewers during the spring dual season and totaled 14 victories over both the fall and spring campaigns.
Kubiak lands on a singles All-Liberty League team for the second time in his career with Tuesday's Second Team citation. Kubiak went 10-3 for the Brewers in the spring primarily out of the third slot in the lineup and won seven of his final eight singles decisions of the spring, including both contests in the 2026 Liberty League Championship.
As a doubles unit, Bauermeister and Kubiak teamed at the top flight to post a 12-6 record for the Brewers in the spring. The duo won eight of its final 10 decisions, including both contests in the Liberty League Championship, and was named the Liberty League Doubles Team of the Week three times.
Cattaruzzi and Jia earn Honorable Mention status for Vassar after combining for a 12-6 record during the spring season. The Brewers' second doubles unit won eight of its last 10 decisions of the spring, including a 6-1 mark against conference opponents.
Vassar concluded the 2025-26 season with a program record 16 victories, including an 8-0 record against Liberty League rivals.
