Greenwood, IN – Coming off a successful season on the court which included a program record 16 victories, the Vassar College Men's Tennis team had three student-athletes honored for their work in the classroom it was revealed Tuesday afternoon.
Fernando Bauermeister (Winter Park, FL),
Nolan Kubiak (Oregon, WI) and
Eugene Lee (Chico, CA) were all honored for their athletic and academic excellence with Academic All-District accolades from the College Sports Communicators.
Bauermeister, who has been a standout for the Brewers in a four-year career, has been named to the Liberty League All-Academic team on three occasions and earns an Academic All-District citation for the third straight year. Playing out of the second singles flight as a senior, Bauermeister posted a 10-7 record during the spring dual meet schedule and a 14-9 record overall for the Brewers covering both semesters. In doubles play, Bauermeister was 12-6 out of the top flight in the spring and 17-9 overall. Bauermeister was part of the Liberty League Doubles Team of the Week three times in 2025-26.
Kubiak, a two-time Liberty League All-Academic Team selection and Academic All-District honoree, had a stellar senior campaign for the Brewers in 2025-26. In singles play, Kubiak registered a 10-3 singles record in the spring, primarily out of the third position, and amassed 12 more victories teamed with Bauermeister out of the top doubles position. Covering the fall and spring semesters, Kubiak combined for 28 victories, including 17 doubles triumphs. Kubiak and Bauermeister were named the Liberty League Doubles Team of the Week three times in 2025-26.
Lee, who earned a berth into the NCAA Division III Singles Championship, earns Academic All-District honors for the second straight year for the Brewers. Lee went a sterling 14-4 playing out of the first singles position in the spring and recorded an 18-8 mark covering the season's two semesters. Lee won three of his final four decisions of the spring, including both matches in the 2026 Liberty League Championship. In doubles play, Lee teamed with First Year
Jonas Santos (Las Vegas, NV) at the third slot and posted a 13-3 record in 16 spring decisions. Lee was named the Liberty League Singles Performer of the Week on two occasions.
Vassar completed the 2025-26 season with a 16-6 overall record and completed the conference schedule a perfect 8-0, earning the top seed in the Liberty League Championship for the first time since 2010.
