Troy, NY – Following a 2-0 week against Liberty League opponents, a quartet of Vassar College Men's Tennis players have been recognized with Liberty League Weekly Honors. Junior Eugene Lee (Chico, CA) has been named the Singles Performer of the Week, Junchen Jia (Vail, AZ) earns Rookie of the Week honors and seniors Fernando Bauermeister (Winter Park, FL) and Nolan Kubiak (Oregon, WI) have been tabbed the Doubles Team of the Week.
 
Lee earns his second Singles Performer of the Week nod of the season after posting a 2-0 record in Vassar's 7-0 victories over St. Lawrence and Union. Lee did not drop a set over the two first singles victories, scoring a 6-0, 6-3 win against the Saints on Saturday and a 6-0, 6-1 triumph against the Garnet Chargers on Sunday.
 
Lee leads the Brewers with eight singles victories to date this spring and holds an 8-2 record all out of the top singles flight.
 
Jia also earns a second weekly honor of the season with Monday's Rookie of the Week citation. Like Lee, Jia did not drop a set against St. Lawrence and Union, earning a 6-3, 6-2 fourth singles win against the Saints before closing the weekend with a 6-3, 6-0 third single victory against the Garnet Chargers.
 
Bauermeister and Kubiak continued a strong spring season and collected their second Doubles Team of the Week award of the season on Monday. Bauermeister and Kubiak improved to 7-4 out of the top singles flight after posting a 6-1 victory against St. Lawrence and a 6-3 triumph against Union on Sunday.

Winners of four straight matches, Vassar stands at 9-5 overall on the season and 3-0 against Liberty League opponents.
