Sieun Lee (Wake Forest, NC) both posted their team leading sixth singles wins of the season in the victory.
Sunday's win moves Vassar to 4-5 overall on the season and 1-0 in conference play, while Ithaca falls to 3-6 overall and 0-2 in conference play.
Doubles
- Vassar moved out to a 1-0 lead in the match after taking each of the three singles decisions.
- The top pair of Erin McCusker (Norton, MA) and Iris Li (Palo Alto, CA) won for the third time this spring after cruising to a 6-1 victory.
- Krishnan and Maddie Kirby (Davidson, NC) improved to a team best 5-3 through eight spring decisions with a 6-1 triumph at the second slot.
- Lee and Sara Lippin (Chappaqua, NY) improved to 4-0 as a unit with a 6-3 victory at the third position on Sunday against the Bombers.
Singles
- McCusker got back into the win column at the top singles flight on Sunday after battling to a 6-3, 7-5 victory.
- Lee jumped up to the second flight for the first time this spring and posted a 6-2, 6-3 victory to improve to 6-2 through eight spring contests.
- Krishnan pushed her spring record to 6-3 after scoring a 6-2, 6-3 third singles win for the Brewers.
- Liya Pomfret (Berkeley, CA) moved up to the fourth singles position for the first time this spring and eased to a 6-2, 6-1 triumph for Vassar.
- Esme Nix (Altadena, CA) returned to the lineup at the fifth slot and improved to 2-0 this spring with a 6-4, 6-0 victory.
- First Year Gwendolyn Gray (Montauk, NY) earned her first career singles win after posting a 6-1, 6-4 sixth singles win.
