Shrey Choudhary (Farmington, CT) clinched the win for Vassar with a victory at sixth singles.
Sunday's win improves Vassar to 7-5 overall on the season and 1-0 in Liberty League play, while the Bombers drop to 6-4 overall and 1-1 against league rivals.
Doubles
- Vassar opened a 1-0 lead in the contest after scoring wins at the first and third doubles positions against the Bombers.
- Vassar's top unit of Fernando Bauermeister (Winter Park, FL) and Nolan Kubiak (Oregon, WI) pushed their record to 5-4 after earning a 6-2 victory for the Brewers at the top flight.
- At third doubles, Eugene Lee (Chico, CA) and Jonas Santos (Las Vegas, NV) improved to 6-2 through eight contests together after scoring a 6-3 third doubles victory.
- Vassar second pair of Pedro Cattaruzzi (Chatham, NJ) and Junchen Jia (Vail, AZ) battled for the Brewers in a tight 5-7 defeat.
Singles
- Ithaca would move in front 2-1 after posting victories at the fourth and second positions on Sunday.
- Kubiak evened the match for Vassar at two decisions apiece after posting a 6-4, 6-4 third singles win that pushed his spring record to 4-2.
- Lee nudged the Brewers back in front 3-2 after outlasting Ithaca's Gijs Fidler at the top singles position in a hard fought 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 victory.
- After Ithaca came back with a win at the fifth position, Choudhary clinched the win for Vassar and improved to 4-1 on the season with a 6-2, 7-5 triumph at the sixth slot.
