Troy, NY - The Liberty League announced its weekly award winners on Monday afternoon as Vassar College Men's Basketball team junior Shea Fitzgerald was named the league's Performer of the Week for the second time this season.

Fitzgerald earned the Liberty League Championship's Most Outstanding Performer in rout to the program's second-ever Liberty League title as the junior averaged 20 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists over three games in the tournament. Fitzgerald posted 18 points (13-for-13 FT), eight rebounds and an assist in the First Round win over Skidmore before going on the road and defeating Union where he posted 28 points (7-for-14 FG, 6-for-8 3PT, 8-for-9 FT), seven rebounds, three steals and two assists. Fitzgerald closed the three-game stretch with 14 points, five rebounds and two assists in the Championship 57-53 victory over RPI on Sunday. 

Fitzgerald has put together another banner season for the Brewers as he leads the team in scoring with 16.6 points per game and has recorded career-highs in three-pointers made (79), rebounds (5.1 per game), assists (80) and free-throw percentage (88.4-percent). Fitzgerald has posted 22 double-digit scoring games along with registering a season-high 28 points twice against Union this season.

Vassar (20-8, 13-5 LL) will take on #17 Hood in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday at 5:35 p.m.
