Men's Basketball Begins Liberty League Championship With First Round Matchup Against Skidmore

Vassar earns the third seed in the conference tournament for the second straight season

Poughkeepsie, NY - The third-seeded Vassar College Men's Basketball team begins its hunt for a second Liberty League title on Tuesday as the Brewers will play host to the sixth-seeded Skidmore Thoroughbreds in the First Round of the Liberty League Championship. Tip-off with the Throughbreds is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Athletics and Fitness Center.

Scouting The Thoroughbreds

  • Jacob Gooden has led the way for the Thoroughbreds with 19.1 points per game and has added 23 steals.
  • Aidan Roy is the other double-digit point scorer with 14.3 per game and is the team leader in assists with 92 and steals with 33.

Liberty League Recent Championship History
  • Vassar's first ever Liberty League Championship crown came following the 2021-22 season where the Brewers toppled Skidmore 65-48.
