Ithaca, NY – The Vassar College Men's Swimming and Diving team closed the first day of events at the Liberty League Championship in seventh-place with 103 points.
Eli House (Oneonta, NY) posted the Brewers' best individual event of the day with a 12
th-place swim in the 50-yard freestyle.
Ithaca leads the way with a team score of 502 points and is followed by RIT (439.5), Clarkson (254.5), RPI (233), Skidmore (120), Union (114), Vassar (103), Hobart (83) and St. Lawrence (63).
For The Brewers
- House posted the team's best individual finish of the night with a 12th-palce swim in the 50-yard freestyle, posting a personal best time of 21.68 seconds.
- Sam Deluca (Mifflinburg, PA) finished the 50-yard freestyle in 16th-place on Friday with a time of 21.99 seconds. '
- Four Brewers competed in the 'C' final of the h50-yard freestyle with John Gao (Ann Arbor, MI) placing 18th in 22.32 seconds, Daniel Wang (Carlisle, MA) finishing 20th in a personal best time of 22.63 seconds, Vuk Usina (Tallahassee, FL) taking the 21st position in 22.86 seconds and Daniel Furman (Secaucus, NJ) finishing in the 24th position in 23.29 seconds.
- Jack Powers (Amherst, NY) swam a personal best time of 4:50.65 seconds in the 500-yard freestyle, claiming the 21st position overall in the event.
- The Brewers saw a pair of swimmers post personal best times in the 200-yard individual medley, with Logan Seiss (Downingtown, PA) posting a time of 1:59.88 and Kieran Lakhan (Kensington, MD) showing a time of 1:59.95. The pair finished the event in 21st and 22nd-place overall on Wednesday.
- The Brewers top entry in the 400-yard medley relay posted a seventh-place finish on Wednesday with the team of Gao, Lakhan, Deluca and House touching out in a time of 3:33.56.
- Vassar's 'B' entry in the event of Seiss, Ricky Kurosawa (Las Vegas, NV), Elam Estella (Colorado Springs, CO) and Wang posted a time of 3:40.82, finishing 23rd overall.
