Brewers Set For 2026 Liberty League Championship

Four-day event opens Wednesday morning

Poughkeepsie, NY – The Vassar College Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams are ready for the 2026 Liberty League Championships hosted by Ithaca. The four-day event begins with preliminary swims on Wednesday morning at the Kelsey Patridge Bird Natatorium on the campus of Ithaca College.
 
Admission
  • Spectator Gallery will open at 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., respectively, for each preliminary and final session.
  • The Gallery will be closed between afternoon diving session and 5:00 p.m.
  • All Session passes will be available for $40 per person and $20 per child.
  • Single session tickets will be sold during Finals Sessions.
  • Single session passes will be sold for $10 per adult and half price for children under 12.
 
Heat Sheets and Results
  • Hard copy heat sheets will be available on a limited basis for $1.
  • Heat sheets and results will be available through Meet Mobile.
 
Vassar Men At A Glance
  • The Brewers won their first two dual meet decisions of the season, toppling New Paltz and Bard.
  • In its final tune-up prior to the conference championship, Vassar won the Vassar Sprint Invitational with a score of 540 points.
  • Vassar traveled to Ithaca December 4-6 and finished fourth out of six teams in the Bomber invitational, totaling 956 points.
  • The Vassar Men's team has featured Rookie of the Week awards from both Jack Powers (10/27) and Kieran Lakhan (11/17).
 
2025 Championship Review
  • Vassar finished the 2025 Liberty League Championship in sixth-place out of 10 scoring teams, posting a score of 564 points.
  • The Brewers posted eight school records at the event, including individual standards from Lucas Jauregui (Barrington, RI) and Hayden Ehrenfeld.
  • Ehrenfeld set the 50-yard freestyle record (21.07) and was a part of the school record setting 200 and 400-yard medley relays and the 200 and 400-yard freestyle relays.
  • Jauregui joined Ehrenfeld on each relay standard and set individual marks in the 100-yard freestyle, 50 and 100-yard butterfly and 50 and 100-yard backstroke.
 
Vassar Women At A Glance
  • Vassar posted a 5-4 record in dual meets during the 2025-26 season, posting victories over New Paltz, Bard, Brandies, Mount Holyoke and Union.
  • The Brewers closed out the regular season with a runner-up finish at the Vassar Sprint Invitational with a score of 466 points.
  • Vassar competed in the Bomber Invitational from December 4-6 hosted by Ithaca and placed fourth out of seven teams with 1,115 points.
  • Anna Little (North Hunterdon, PA) was named the Liberty League Swimmer of the Week on November 17.
  • Abigail Ford (Califon, NJ) earned a Liberty League Rookie of the Week honor on February 2.
 
2025 Championship Review
  • The Brewers closed the 2025 Championship in fifth-place out of 10 teams with a score of 675 points.
  • Addie Wiener (Maplewood, NJ) won the 500-yard freestyle at last year's event, claiming the league crown in the discipline for the third straight season.
  • Little scored a runner-up finish in the 400-yard individual medley a season ago.
  • The 800-yard freestyle relay team of Quinn Hoagland (Colts Neck, NJ), Maya Luongo, Abigail McLaughlin (Denver, CO) and Wiener swam to a runner-up finish for the Brewers.
