Troy, NY - The Liberty League announced its weekly award winners for the week ending September 28 as Vassar College Women's Volleyball junior outside hitter
Maura McAusland earned her second Performer of the Week award of the season.
Vassar finished the week with a 2-1 record as the Brewers fell to #RV Williams before bouncing back with victories over Mount Saint Mary and Russell Sage. McAusland recorded 52 kills (.387 hitting percentage), 29 digs, four aces, three assists and a block over the three matches.Â
She posted 16 kills (.394), 10 digs and an ace against the receiving votes Ephs followed by 14 kills (.343), an ace and 11 digs in the sweep of the Knights. The junior closed out the week with a career-high tying 22 kills (.419), two aces and eight digs in a four-set victory over the Gators.
McAusland currently ranks 14th nationally in hitting percentage at .392 for the season and 18th in the country in kills per set at 4.35. She also currently sits 18th nationally in points per set at 4.89.
Vassar enters the week at 10-3 overall on the season and opens Liberty League play on Wednesday evening against Bard at 7:00 p.m.
