#15 Women's Cross Country Earns Second Place Finish at Pre-Nationals; Wins the Fred Pavlich Invitational

Brewers finish second in South Carolina, Feudtner leads Vassar to win at Bard

Spartansburg, SC/Annandale-on-Hudson, NY - The #15 Vassar College Women's Cross Country team excelled in two different meets on Saturday morning as the Brewers took home a first place finish at the Fred Pavlich Invitational at Bard along with earning a second place finish at the NCAA Pre-National Invitational in South Carolina.

Vassar's Top Finishers
  • Junior Haley Schoenegge led the way with a 10th place overall finish out of 105 competitors with a time of 22:24.5.
  • Junior Adelaide Nyhan crossed the finish line in 12th position in 22:36.7 followed by senior Anika Mueller-Hickler in 17th with a time of 22:53.9.
  • Junior Cayley Swaim earned a 19th place finish with a time of 23:03.6 along with classmate Acadia Helfand tallying a 21st place finish in 23:07.6.
  • Junior Norah Reade recorded a 22nd place finish in 23:08.4 and sophomore Chloe Bibula registered a 27th place mark with a new personal-best time of 23:18.7.
  • Sophomore Elizabeth Lowe ranked 38th overall with a time of 23:42.6, classmate Hadley Snell was 41st in 23:47.6 and sophomore Sarah France rounded out the top-50 finishers for Vassar with a 45th place finish in 24:03.2.

Vassar's Top Finishers
  • First year Cate Feudtner earned the individual title as she crossed the finish line in 24:41.2, defeating the next closest finisher by 17 seconds.
  • First year Taylor Vogt scored a fifth place finish with a time of 25:33.3 followed closely by sophomore Sophia Marchioli in sixth in 25:37.6.
  • First year Emerson Wyatt tallied a 10th place mark with a time of 26:30.8 along with senior Max Sandrew finishing in 14th in 27:03.6.
  • First year Finola Jackson registered a 19th place finish in 27:30.0 while senior Isabelle Borgstedt secured a 20th place finish with a time of 27:39.3.
  • Senior Lily Shimpach crossed the finish line in 29:07.4 for a 30th place finish.
