Men's Cross Country Races to Seventh Place at Pre-Nationals; Place Third at Fred Pavlich Invitational

Miller scores top-10 finish at Pre-Nationals, L'Esperance finishes eighth at Bard

Spartansburg, SC/Annandale-on-Hudson, NY - The Vassar College Men's Cross Country recorded two strong showings on Saturday morning as the Brewers scored a third place finish at the Fred Pavlich Invitational at Bard along with finishing seventh overall out of 13 teams at the NCAA Pre-National Invitational in South Carolina.

Vassar's Top Finishers
  • Junior Sean Miller scored a top-10 finish to lead the way for Vassar as he crossed the finish line in eighth place out of 132 finishers with a time of 25:08.1.
  • Junior Max Frazee earned a 27th place finish with a new career-best time of 25:42.2 along with first year Jay Borland tallying a 55th place finish in 26:53.1.
  • First year Riley Magill recorded a 56th place mark with a time of 26:53.6 while senior Arlo Rucker finished in the top-70 in 27:09.7.
  • First year Jack Brilliant turned in a time of 27:11.4, senior Davis Anderson crossed the finish line in 27:25.9 and first year Rafael Mellow-Bartels finished with a time of 27:51.7.

  • First year Maslen L'Esperance led the way with a eighth place finish out of 81 total finishers with a time of 28:28.0.
  • First year Grey Fearon crossed the finish line in 12th place in 28:49.9 followed by classmate Lincoln Neiswender in 20th overall with a time of 29:51.5.
  • Senior Mikhail Medina earned a top-30 finish with a mark of 30:41.1 and sophomore Zeke DeMercurio finished 37th overall in 31:58.1.
  • Senior John Hurly finished in the top-45 with a time of 32:41.2
