Troy, NY - The Liberty League announced its weekly award winners on Monday afternoon as Vassar College Field Hockey first year forward/midfielder Julia Morris was honored as the league's Rookie of the Week.

Morris scored her second goal of the season and her first career game-winning goal halfway through the second overtime period to send Vassar to a 3-2 road victory over Smith on Saturday. The Brewers finished the week going 2-0 following a 5-2 triumph over Montclair State on Wednesday at home.

Vassar's record currently sits at 3-2 overall on the season and the Brewers will return to Weinberg Field on Wednesday night to take on Kean at 6:00 p.m.
