Men's Track and Field Finishes Sixth at the Trinity Invitational

Brewers recorded numerous personal-best marks

Hartford, CT - The Vassar College Men's Track and Field team traveled to Hartford for the Trinity (CT) Invitational on Saturday as the Brewers finished tied for sixth out of 12 scoring teams following numerous personal-best finishes.

110 Meter Hurdles
  • Senior Jae Young Seo raced to a 10th place finish with a season-best time of 16.79.
100 Meters
  • Junior Jacob Sellitti posted a top-35 finish with a time of 11.39 along with first year Ryan Fernandes finishing in the top-40 with a time of 11.57.
3000 Meter Steeplechase
  • First year Zeke DeMercurio finished sixth overall with a mark of 11:47.38.
1500 Meters
  • Sophomore Max Frazee set a new personal-best time of 4:04.98 for a 22nd place overall finish.
  • Senior Levi Lilienthal recorded a new career-best mark of 4:15.42 for a top-50 finish.
  • First year Oscar Olson Gross earned a new personal-best time of 4:21.86 along with classmate Patrick Wang recording a new personal-best time of 4:27.62.
  • Junior Xavier Silverio crossed the finish line in 4:37.72 followed by senior Mikhail Medina with a season-best mark of 4:43.17.
400 Meters
  • Sophomore Joshua Garraway tallied a 31st place finish with a career-best time of 53.71.
800 Meters
  • Sophomore Sean Miller earned a second place finish with a new PR of 1:52.83 which ranks in the top-50 in Division III this season.
  • First year Nick MacDonald recorded a season-best mark of 1:54.77 for an eighth place finish.
  • Senior Jose Magana scored a 13th place finish with a time of 1:56.63.
400 Meter Hurdles
  • Lilienthal finished 15th overall with a time of 1:07.62.
5000 Meters
  • Magana earned a first place finish with a mark of 15:26.41 followed by senior Jackson Bernreuter in second place with a time of 16:06.25.
4x400 Relay
  • The quartet of junior Nathan Denham, MacDonald, Miller and sophomore Collin France scored a third place finish with a time of 3:23.98.
Long Jump
  • First year Owen Gifford finished 15th overall with a leap of 5.88 meters.
High Jump
  • France tallied a sixth place finish with a personal-best mark of 1.75 meters.
  • Senior Max Bergman secured a 10th place finish with a mark of 1.70 meters.
Javelin Throw
  • Bergman registered a 25th place finish with a throw of 35.15 meters.
Shot Put
  • Sophomore Adam Finnimore recorded a top-30 finish with a toss of 11.58 meters.
Up Next
  • Vassar will head to the Penn Relays on Thursday before hosting the Vassar Invite on Saturday afternoon.
